Basic Grey Challenge!!

New Hair-do!!

Okay, I got my hair cut on Friday. It looks bad here, but you get the picture on how short I cut it. Ken is gonna fuss, I know it. He loves long hair, but it was looking so BLAH!! So heavy and limp. So, I went to a new salon opened by a friend, and she whacked my hair off!! I should have done locks of love, but I forgot. So, what do you think?

Next up, EYEBROWS! They so need landscaping!!! It makes a huge difference in the face. I'll take a pic on Tuesday after I get them done. Going back to same salon. If I don't get them done, I'll look horrid when I see Ken on Thursday!!

Approved for Basic Grey Gallery!!

I don't know exactly how they approve layouts for their online gallery, or how hard it is to get on there, but it took 10 days for them to approve mine! It is called Sweet Dreams and is a great layout of my niece, Ellie, at 3 weeks old. I love that photo!! My friend Roni also had an altered tin approved for the gallery! Check it out here!

Heidi Swapp did a layout on her blog that she challenged us to try. I changed it, and didn't do the same theme of "Embrace Change" but I love how mine turned out! Thanks Heidi for the inspiration!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

I made this page for my dad, to remember how our relationship has changed since he retired. When I call, he is there now, and we chat away about all kinds of things. He was even able to pick me up at the airport, which is something that my mom usually does!!

So, I am posting this layout for you dad, and for a challenge at my LSS, Scrapbook 911. I tried to use different things, not all from the same line of stuff. Thanks for looking!!

All mine, baby!!

That is right!! I won again! If I keep this up, the guys won't let me play anymore! I went to a friend's birthday party yesterday, where we play poker, as usual. It was weird without my husband around. He is the one who counts everything, rounds up the people, etc. I stepped into that role, along with a friend. So, in the end, and many upset people later, I took home $160!! Whoo hoo!! More scrapbook supplies!!

I'm getting published!!

Yep, that is correct!! My first published page!! Actually, they picked up 2 pages and one of my friend's, Roni, as well!! Our pages will be in their August 2007 issue. Ready, Set, Create is a message board with an online magazine that can be purchased for $5 per 6 mos., or $10 per year. When I get the download, I'll show you the pages that got accepted!! Yea!!
